About LOGOS

The LOGOS program was founded in 1957 as a program of CHRISTIAN NURTURE.  it provides a system where the Gospel is first caught then taught.  It is an association of the pastor, church educators, lay persons, and congregation.  The entire congregation develops relationships with youth by participating in one of the four parts (Bones): therefore, the congregation is the minister.  The four parts or Bones are: Worship Skills, Play Time, Family Time, and Bible Time.

The Four Parts
1.) Bible Study
To nurture youth and children into intelligent, obedient, and biblically informed discipleship.
2.) Family Time
To provide a joyous, intergenerational celebration of person-hood over a shared meal as we experience being the family of God.
3.) Play Time
To experience great fun at the expense of no one else.
4.) Worship Skills
To develop responsibility for and practice in worship skills because worship is our primary service to God as disciples.

The number one rule is: To treat everyone else as a Child of God.  No one has the right to treat anyone else as if they do not matter.
Why do we go to all the work to put on the LOGOS program?  Why have over 40 adults committed their Wednesday nights to make LOGOS happen?  It's simple.  We are a congregation that loves God, loves children and youth, and have gifts to share with young people.  We are a congregation that wants children of this community to have a solid foundation of Christian values.  We want your child to have a faith that will face down drugs, gangs, alcohol, and sexual immorality.  We want to help you grow children who will stand tall in the face of temptation and dishonesty.  That's why we invite you and your family to be involved in this program.
